if i use a fake id at abc store, what can the clerk do?
lets say im under 21, and i have a fake id (not a fake drivers license)from a certain state that says im over 21, has my exact picture on it, has my full name and height and whatever, and looks authentic. i take it to the abc store and try to buy alcohol with it. when the clerk looks at my id, and for some reason thinks its fake, he asks for a second id. i show him my (real) university id card, which only has my name and photo, not my birthdate. the clerk is unsatisfied, doesnt believe my fake id. what can he do? can he only refuse me service of alcohol and tell me to leave, or does he also have the power to confiscate my fake id and call the police?
He should refuse to serve you. And you should be lucky he doesn’t contact the authorities. Did it ever occur to you what would happen if he accepted your fake id? The store could lose it’s liquor license. A liquor store without a liquor license is pretty pointless. Way to go, McLovin.
