Baby Assistant
What should I wear for an assistant principal interview in Texas where it is very warm?
Do I wear a skirt suit or pantsuit? Do I go basic traditional colors like blue or black? Does the material of the suit matter? Also, I just had a baby so I’m a size 20 and don’t know where to shop for “plus sized” business attire! Please help! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I currently live in Michigan so I’m not sure of business attire in hot, humid weather!

I would wear a skirt suit, just make sure it doesn’t go above your knees, just to keep you looking professional. If you have seen what the other employees wear who are in the office, notice if they wear traditional colors, but to be safe I’d wear more low key colors but maybe with a colorful (solid color) undershirt that shows through a little under the suit jacket. There are a lot of places at least where I live where there are stores specifically for “plus” sized women, if you can find out if those stores are near you, but I can’t really help you there.
A suggestion might be a light gray suit, with closed toe shoes. If you can find a lightweight skirt suit then great, try to avoid any wool or cotton material as those will be hotter. Maybe for the underblouse try and find a nice silky looking, dressy looking one that isn’t too distracting, just to add a little flare.
