Backpack Baby

Would it be better to when riding a bike to carry my baby in a backpack (ergo) or attached to a seat?

I was thinking about this, at least if he is in the backpack and I jump off the bike, he doesn’t go down with the bike. How safe are those baby carriers attached to the bike? I know he should be wearing a helmet too.

Neither. Both of those things just seem to be begging for disaster. How about using a Burley (one of the pull behinds) & placing his infant seat in there? Thats what I would do.
