Backpack Kindergarten
Do you remember your first day of Kindergarten?
What happened?
I don’t remember mine at all. I just remember wearing a pink dress and I had a pink backpack, I think it was Barbie. That’s all I remember.
Yes I do…I wore a red plaid shirt and brown flannel pants and brand new buster brown shoes. My teachers name was Mrs. Mauch. It was a bright yellow room with the alphabet in big letters surrounding the room. There were 19 students in my class. Valentine came in packs of 20 and I had one left over. We had a big box with toys in it and we had small carpets to lay on during nap time. Mrs. Mauch read us stories and taught us letters. We attended school for a full day. That was over fifty five years ago.
