What should I do if I get a bill from the Medical Carrier and I don’t have insurance?
I have no Insurance, but recently I was in the hospital for something I got better, but i just received a bill coming from Blue Shield of CA. asking for me to pay? What should I do? Can I tell the Carrier if i can pay it monthly? Let me know, isn’t my fault i don’t have insurance these days is too expensive.
Umm. You’ve gotta pay it. As long as you call them ASAP and make a payment agreement and stick to it, they should agree. They might make the stipulation of if you miss a payment, they will send you to collection, but that’s their right.
They should agree to a payment plan because it’s better they get paid a little at a time instead of losing 25 – 60% off the top to a collection agency. If you can pay a chunk of the bill up front, it would even sweeten the deal.
