Which travel bed to get for 17 month old?
We are taking a 10 day vacation this summer (he will be 17 months then) and I’m wondering what will be best for our son. He has always disliked his play yard (Graco). He doesn’t nap or sleep in it too well. I am home with him so he always takes his naps in his own crib. We’ve taken 1 vacation before and like I said he didn’t sleep well in the play yard. We are not staying in a hotel so we won’t have access to their cribs, etc.
Anyway, he moves around A LOT while he sleeps and I’m not sure if there is an alternative to a play yard? I’ve seen the KidCo PeaPod travel beds, anyone have any experience with those? Any other suggestions? Thanks a lot!
Another option would be to set up the pack ‘n play at home and have him try sleeping in that so he gets used to it before you go. I would suggest that for anything you purchase. He just sounds like a creature of habit. If he is used to sleeping in his own bed, then he’s not going to sleep too well in anything you have. I’d suggest getting him used to something new (maybe just for naps or even a few nights before going, practice in the pack ‘n play at home in another room) so it’s not so traumatic while you’re gone.
