Peapod Plus
Travel Bed/Cot Recommendations for Large 16 mo old?

I am looking for a travel bed/cot for my 16 month old because he is getting a little too big to sleep in the Pack-N-Play comfortably. He is currently 33″ tall and weighs around 30 lbs. Whatever I purchase, I would like to be able to use it for a while. He is still too little to be able to sleep in a bed with just bumpers or rails. And, he’s too little to sleep on a pallet of blankets on the floor or a sleeping bag too.

I am looking at the Phil & Ted’s Traveller and the PeaPod Plus. Have you had any experience with either?

I’m a little worried about how my son would react to not being able to stand up in the PeaPod Plus, and I’m a little concerned that the Traveller won’t be sturdy enough.

I know that Baby Bjorn has a travel crib, but it is not too much bigger than his Pack-N-Play and is expensive!

Thanks in advance!

I think it’s time to retire the travel crib- my son was in a BED at 17 months- why spend money on something he’ll out grow in a month or so?
Most people start to transition their children out of the crib and into a toddler bed at around this age anyway so I don’t really see the point in using a travel cot after the 18month mark.
