How to strenghten lower leg over fences?

On the flat, my legs are really strong, no matter the length of the stirrups, even in dressage. And I ride and jump bareback, and I’ll watch a video of myself doing so, and it looks like my legs dont swing at all when im bareback. But as soon as stirrups and jumping come into the picture, my legs swing back, even over a small fence. What are any ways to reduce this, besides riding without stirrups since I’m good at riding without stirrups and it doesn’t help.

Make sure the iron is angled across the botton of your foot. At the baby toe angled back to the ball of your foot. I made this one change and had a solid leg. It’s what were supposed to do anyways but one sprained ankle and 2 broken baby toes kept me from it for a while and I got out of the habit.

If thats not the problem, tie your iron to your girth to get the appropriate feel while still working on tighter lower leg. Are you wearing any form of half chap or boot that would be more slippery than others? I’m grasping at straws here as your well versed it no stirrup and bare back work.
